Milvus Trekking Planner

Milvus Trekking Planner (MTP) is a trekking planning software developed by Giovanni Santostefano to provide a simple interface to manage an adventure planning and logging.

MTP is available for GNU/Linux, Windows, OSX, Solaris, BSD and all platforms supporting the javavm.

With MTP you are able to manage a storage of items that represent all of your trekking equipment; from a tent to a sleeping bag to a liter of water.
Next you can plan a trekking adding items from your storage and calculating the global weight of your equipment for each adventure.
At the end of the trekking you can write notes and advices for each item in the inventory to provide informations for future similar adventures

MTP is also a logging software where you can put various informations about the trekking.

Milvus Trekkin Planner is released under the GNU/GPL3 licence

To do...

Many features are planned for MTP. First to provide an export to HTML of the storage and trekkings to simply exchange experiences and datas. Next is planned to develop an interface to manage GPX files from GPS devices.

It's also planned to make a manual and a translation in other languages that English and Italian

Linux (also OSX):
To run Milvus Trekking Planner under a GNU/Linux distribution you simply have to open a terminal and launch
sh$ java -jar MilvusTrekkingPlanner.jar

Windows:
Sure there is a way click here and there (try to double click the jar file)... but I think you can also open a cmd and launch
c:\> java -jar MilvusTrekkingPlanner.jar
